Finally you are here!  It is not "not-active anymore", it all depends how we treat this column.  If everybody never ever try to remember it, it will fade out eventually.  Even if only one left, I believe, it will re-growth again.  I'm sure it will!

Hoping that someday, this corner will become the platform together we chat, maybe in the coming future, we even can have glasses of wine while circling round the fire-place to keep warm, talking freely about our prospects and life, sharing memories of each other’s sweetness and sadness, cries and laughters together, then, what a wonderful world it would be?!!!! Huh!

I learnt from some other columns that they cried out of craving chances for practising English.  Why they didn't try to come to this column?  Or, they are just want to gain some points of their experiences in this forum?  Hay hay!  What a pity!

I am not really craving for any chances to speak English....

Due to the nature of my work, I have to liaise with US bankers, lawyers and investors almost everyday.

I am sure you are not the one I mentioned above.  You can speak very good English already!  

Anyway, English speaking is very interesting itself, especially when you discovered it would help in business.  

In some extreme, I hate speak English since most Local people of China would think that I am an interpreter of forigner during I gave out assistance while travelling in China.  Damn it!  

On the other hand, I also felt good while it would really help in most cases.  HaHa....

We gotta do something to attract ppl coming here....
at the moment, we are the only 2 ppl coming in.....this is not what I anticipate...

We are not the editor, we have no power on anything.  Even if we were authorized, I don't think they will participate shortly.  Anyway, every tiny bit of effort would help, I'm sure!

Even though I am not the host here, I prefer watching this corner stay alive.  

Flooded by English?  Maybe, if they really know English, it would be very enjoyable.  

I just wonder why those who scream for learning Engish not come to here?  At least, they can read English here, usually simple English.  

when you mation about the "simple English". i am absolutely agree about this, i used to go to the foreign net. and read alot of they dialogs. and i found most of what they write are difficut to understand. they are long and complicate. some time they even modify the word by pronunciation so that i can look up it in any dictionary.

so i am happy to visit here for the convenient talking environment. especial for the abc learner

English is one of the popular language that commonly use in this world.  The main purpose of language is "communuication"!  Even though you can speak or use series of complicated and literatural English, people can hardly understand what you really want to express.  Then, what else you want?  

Here is just a corner where you can read whatever, and, you can write whatever.  Then, why not come and enjoy this calm and peace enviroment?

Came across a few topics relating to Thailand in this forum. Thai cuisine is always one of my favourite cuisine (I love all kinds of cuisines - French, Italian, Mexican, Indian, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean and loast but not least, Chinese).

Pomelo salad, papaya salad and mango salad are my favourite Thai entrees. I also love tom yum soup which is simply yummy especially if it is made with fresh huge prawns. Thai curry is quite diffrent from Indian/Japanese curry. I love roast duck curry. Pineaaple rice/olive rice are also not to be missed in a Thai dinner. No Thai dinner is complete without nice Thai dessets. Make sure you reserve enough room in your stomach for these unforgetable Thai desserts which are made with lots of coconut milk and hence very filling.

It seems that cuisine is quite a good topic.  Everybody need food and there are so many kinds of food in the market.

Thai, NyonYa, Nepalese, Indian, French, Italian, Japan, Korea........Just incredible.   For me, Chinese is the best.  

Thai is spicy and herb fragrant, Japan is a little bit too simple and raw, western usually no surprise.  Chinese is completely different, there are so many ways of cooking, so many ingredients, so many technique!  Wow, what a wonderful world it is in Cooking.

Someday I will establish a restaurant, only serve friends of G-union.  HaHaHa.....

We only want you would enjoy English just like us!  It is all because ITS FUN!  

On the other hand, if you are familiar with speaking English even though you are not that fluent, I'm sure, you will be more confidence with your daily life cause you are ready for trying new everyday.  Have a nice day!

No problem, language is something that you have to use everyday, during the daily usage, you can improve it by listening, reading and speaking.  Try it from now.

所以我决定从近以后努力学习英语:

Hello eveyone! How's your day so far? Good I hope?  I am relief to find some English forums here ..BUT I found it quite painful to follow this forum..well you can say it kinda messy??

It is Like everyone here, there is no common thread in this forum disscussion...everyone is talking about their own stuff..or never mind.


Anyways, I have one enquiry...can anyone tell me where can I buy some English publications, like Engliah novels, magazines, comics etc in Guangzhou. I can't seem to find any of those in most of the bookstores in  Guangzhou...Any info would be useful.

Thanks in Advance..btw, anyone had already watched brokeback mountains? You may want to go to the movie website as it definitelygot some  interesting write-up there. Alot of gays from all over the world had posted their thinkings, feelings, memories in the website after watching the show.
